Out of state truck Carb Compliance

Clean Truck Check compliance testing is required to commercial vehicles registered in California and Out of State vehicles entering California.

Non California registered commercial truck owners still need to register and create and account on California CARB CTC-VIS portal. Adding vehicle details to the company account will make compliance testing easier as you will already have annual compliance fees paid and processed.

Compliance Deadlines for Non-California Registered Vehicles. Since vehicle registration is from a different state, California Air Resources Board will determine vehicle compliance dates using the last number of the VIN. Each digit is assigned a month. Vehicle’s compliance test deadline is on the last day of the month of the assigned month in the table.
